Lae de Haut

A typical 18th century BĂ©arnaise farm with 1763 engraved in the stone work over the Front door, Lae de Haut overlooks the village of Aramits and offers a remarkable view of the Pyrenees over the Valley of Baretous and the ski station of La Pierre Ste Martin in the back ground. No traffic noise as there is only one house beyond us on our lane.

Bearn and Basque regions offers unspoilt villages deep in traditions and culture, not to forget the vast range of outdoor activities, well known for the churches, gorges on GR10 joined with Santiago de Compostela Pilgrims routes.

Tour de France has visited our region 12 times in 14 years and again for 2018 we have two stages in our region, cyclist enjoy the challenge of conquering famous TDF Cols of the past such as Aubisque, Marie Blanque, La Pierre Ste Martin, Soulor and Tourmalet.

Lae de Haut is only 15 miles from Spain so can discover to countries, our suggested routes take you over the Pyrenees into Spain, returns you via another mountain pass and valley so you do not repeat the views so you can enjoy Tapas in Spain and Menu of the day in France. We can recommend restaurants on these routes as that is what we do through winter is discover new restaurants.
