 Lae de Haut

Lae De Haut is located on the hill side overlooking the village of Aramits, from here we have views called by our clients as fantastic, beautiful, superb and they are,in winter we can see the ski station La Pierre St Martin and just make out the ski lift with the naked eye. When ever we can we take our tea breaks-meals looking at these views and still can not believe we live here.

Again in the opposite direction to the ski station we can see the Adventure Parc and at the end of the day we hear the screams from the people on the bungee jump. Also we watch the birds of prey climbing on the thermals and the gathering of the Vultures as they appear out of the clouds, using a photo we counted over 60 in one group.

At Lae De Haut we offer a number of activities on site, outdoor pool,Art workshop/studio, games area with Babyfoot, Badminton, Table tennis, Toddles zone with toys, Traverse climbing wall and outside there is basket ball, Boules, Pickleball, Swingball and another Table tennis. Optional extras gym Adults only. Club Room with Pool table, darts, mini Babyfoot and lots of board games.

Also in the Club room is Wi-Fi connection so bring your Laptop.

Just 5mins away are signed walks/mountain bike tracks which lead to the Adventure parc and nearby villages; GR10 is just 15mins drive away plus the Gorges of d'Kakuette and d'Holzarte, each gorge will take an hour each way but allow an extra hour for photographs. 15mins is Oloron St Marie with a good market every Friday morning and they have just paved the area around the Cathedral and the restuarants have taken advantage of this with extra tables and chairs on the paved area putting the final touches to complete the atmosphere of a french town.

Our village church displays the story of the three Musketeers with Aramis coming from the village of Aramits and the others from nearby villages. just 1 mile from Lae De Haut is a excellent super market, we often pick up a fresh baguette and some local cheese, find a quiet spot in the mountains along side of a stream which makes a perfect picnic.

Cycling.

Cols Marie Blanque, d'Aubisque, Tourmalet, Soulor,

La Pierre St Martin, D'Osquich, and the D'Soudet all these famous cols have been featured in the Tour De France since we have been here(7 years) and 2012 we have 2 stages, one finishing in Pau and another starting Pau, the Col d'Aubisque and the Col Soulor are again part of Stage 16 on the 18th July 2012. Also the l'Etape is with us on the 14th July taking same course of Stage 16.

The roads in the area have been approved by the French cycling Federation and on the approach to a Cols they erected signs giving you the distance to the top and percentage of the incline for the next section. These road are for your pleasure or training all the year round and we do get many teams training here.
